Testimonials and Success Stories

Nothing speaks more powerfully to the level of care and compassion our company provides than hearing directly from those we’ve served. Take a look at some of the video testimonials from our recent clients.

June Woods

This is June Woods. We looked after her husband, Micheal. Micheal was the initial one who needed care, but we were also there for June when she needed it. At South Coast Home Care, we don’t only care for the person who needs it but also go the extra mile to help and support the whole family.

We looked after them for a long time, and Micheal had carers going in several times a day. Over the Christmas period, they were unable to go out to see any carol services so we organised and brought a carol service to them. We transformed the garden and put on a show for them with all our friends and family.

Arthur

Meet Arthur, a long-term South Coast Home Care client.

Here at South Coast Home Care, we specialise in caring for all types of people, whether they need long-term, short-term, or emergency care. We also specialise in caring for people with dementia.

Dementia is not a specific disease but a general term for a decline in memory, thinking, and decision-making skills that interferes with daily activities. It can quickly deteriorate and prevent a client from completing day-to-day activities.

Social stimulation is incredibly important for people living with dementia as it can significantly improve someone’s overall well-being. It challenges the brain and may slow down the progression of dementia symptoms. It also provides emotional support, reducing feelings of depression, anxiety, and loneliness that are often associated with dementia.

Arthur has recently been attending our social sessions. This has massively helped with his social interaction and allows all our clients to come together, meet each other and spend time outside their usual surroundings.

Anita

This is Anita. South Coast Home Care looked after her mother and she was on an emergency care package.

On a family holiday, her mum fell over, and when they came back, they realised that she would need full-time care. Anita contacted the South Coast Home Care team to help her mum when she needed it. We helped with showering, general care, and companionship.

Lorraine

Meet Lorraine. The South Coast Home Care team cares for Zoey, Lorraine’s daughter. We help with bathroom needs, which relieves Lorraine’s pressure as she is getting older and finds it a little difficult to deal with.

We always conduct an initial assessment before a client receives care from South Coast Home Care. We understand that everyone is different and needs different levels of care, so we must ensure that our services are tailored to each person. We asked Zoey if she would prefer a male or female to help her, and she preferred a female. We asked this question due to her needs. Zoey has a learning disability that can limit her from doing certain things, and it can cause anxiety for her and her family. We ensure that we ask appropriate questions and tailor our care towards the individual client’s needs.

At South Coast Home Care, we go above and beyond for our customers. We look after them like our family and do all we can to see them smile. We offer our care services to anyone who needs it, including people who want companionship, people with disabilities and those under 65.

I have worked as a Field Care Professional for South Coast Home Care since September 2022. I find the management team and office staff very supportive and always willing to help with any questions or issues. The hours are very flexible and fit well with my family commitments. Having the right backing means I am confident in providing the very best of care for my customers.

First impression is very positive. My elderly aunt feels very comfortable and confident at the level of cover advised and was very pleased at the ease of setting it all up.

The wonderful care, friendly but totally professionally, has made the first five days home from hospital, after a hip operation, not only bearable but encouraging, and I am very grateful to Sophie for looking after me so well. I can fully recommend South Coast Home Care, and have already done so, twice, as well as to the Advance Care Practitioner at St Richard's Hospital, who rang to ask after me today.
