South Coast Home Care:

Where compassion and experience meet to deliver outstanding care.

South Coast Home Care is a small, independent organisation which provides ‘one to one’ care on an hourly and live in basis. Founder Sophie Reed, is passionate about delivering specialist, person centred care, with dignity.

Our head office is in Chichester, where Sophie has lived in throughout her life. Sophie is therefore very familiar with the area, while invested in the local community. Sophie has have a strong management team based here, who are always there to support you. South Coast Home Care received an award of excellence and named one of the top care specialists in Chichester 2021.

Sophie’s ambition to deliver high quality care is supported and enforced by an experienced team of compassionate carers. We also have a management team in Littlehampton allowing us to provide quality care across the South Coast. 

 Our fantastic colleagues have the skills to assist and advise you or your loved one, on all care needs. We are very proud of our facilities to support individuals in maintaining their independence, and feel privileged to support a wide variety of service users to continue to live at home. Where this independence is no longer possible, we are also equipped to support individuals with more complex needs to continue living at home with dignity.

Our staff are outstandingly compassionate, and committed to upholding care qualities as outlined by the Care Quality Commission. This includes providing our service users with the information to make an informed choice, as well as an awareness of an individual’s right to decline care. Underpinning this is the complex nature of ‘capacity’, or the ability of an individual to make decisions for themselves. Where relevant, matters surrounding this will be discussed sensitively with both the service user, and their family. This allows us to ensure that the best interests of those we care for are protected, and their wishes are respected. Our carers always have a duty of care to the individual they are caring for, but also to their colleagues, and to themselves, which we support them to embrace.

We provide a range of care plans, which are always tailored to suit the individual. This ranges from hourly care through visits during the day, at times which suit you, to full time, live in care. We also offer respite care for rehabilitation, or to provide cover for the family or usual carers. If you find your circumstances suddenly changed, we also have the facilities to provide emergency care.

We offer a free, no obligation conversation with one of our care managers, who is on hand to assess the unique circumstances of every individual. This extends to carrying out risk assessments, which ensures that care can be delivered to you safely and effectively. Our team collaborate with the care specialist, following their recommendations to carry out a bespoke care plan, which is appropriate for your needs. By consistently communicating with the individual regarding their evolving preferences, our carers are able to provide a person centred approach. Meet - Sophie Reed
Founder of South Coast Home Care

I am Sophie Reed, the founder and owner of South Coast Home Care, where my extensive 19-year journey in the care industry began as a care assistant at a Chichester-based care home. Over time, I’ve ascended through various levels, acquiring experience in home management and project management. I’ve had the privilege of being registered with the Care Quality Commission in two distinct roles.

My passion for care and dedication to the quality of service delivery run deep. I firmly believe in the effectiveness of person-centred approaches, with the belief that there’s no better place for such care than the comforting environment of one’s own home, where one-to-one care can truly shine. At South Coast Home Care, I also assume the role of the Care Specialist, ensuring compliance and the safe delivery of our services.

Our core values revolve around our hands-on approach and unwavering support for our team. This, in turn, empowers us to consistently deliver an outstanding level of service that our clients and their families can rely on.
